Do we have team dinners? When? |
| A: |
Yes, on Sunday nights at fellow team members houses. (time and place will be announced) |
|
| Q: |
How many meets do we have? |
| A: |
We schedule as many as 15 meets during the season. Most weeks in January and February we will have two meets a week. We try to re-schedule those meets which are "snowed-out". The priority on re-scheduling meets is first to "conference" (CCC North) meets. |
|
| Q: |
Does the team just swim against boys during the season? |
| A: |
The team competes during the boys' season so mainly the competition is boys, but we try to schedule as many co-ed teams (like ours) as we can. We have two opportunities during the season when girls will compete only against other girls:
1) A scrimmage aginst Westminster early in the season. 2) The Splash Classic meet (composed of girls from around the state who compete on co-ed teams) at the end of the season. We are not shy about suggesting that our girls compete very well against many of the boys on other teams. |
|
| Q: |
How is the team divided? |
| A: |
The swimmers are divided based on ability and stroke into lanes with 5-8 people each. Divers all dive from a single 1 meter board in the pool. |
